Tean,, the only draw back with the program is the fact it has no way of letting you know that some one is trying to get you ,,well I guess it has a computer ring ,but if you have a headset that doesn't make any sound if you are away from the computer.
So you have to pm the person to let them know when you are going to be on,,, but the file transfer is great.
If you get it downloaded and want to test it ,,give me or heliheadcase a pm and we can work with ya.

T.Moore is correct, there were over 20,000 kits made just in the Heli-star alone, keep looking friends, they are out there.

What the heck. If it helps get this project going, put me down for a fuselage too. Personally I won't really want to bother with old mechanics, so I'm mostly just interested in the fuse, plastic vacuum formed canopy and bits, etc. Then again, because I know nothing whatsoever about the original, was the pusher prop functional, or did it just freewheel in the breeze?

Here's hoping this comes together!

I am not that sure ,,but I think the pusher was never on the model at all.

OK guys, if you're interested in a little Cheyenne info I have available (as a contribution toward this project), I have had scanned and posted on one of my websites (via a private link) some things you may find of some small interest:

http://www.modelsport.com/lockheed286

. . . where you will find these files.

Index of /lockheed286

Rotor_May_81.pdf 08-Mar-2006 21:20 7.2M

But remember, there's no button to navigate, so you have to right-click and save the individual files (and use the link to find the pages if you want to get there again).

Finally, though my product is a plastic-fantastic created for the mass market, this is the kind of interest I personally have in model helicopters . . .

I trust you'll enjoy the Cheyenne info especially as I doubt it's generally available!

I had to reply to his e-mails in German to get a response. I guessed that he doesn't speak any English. I'll send him an e-mail also to let him know of the tremendous interest in this project.

This is the response that I got from Achim.

Oh the Steve Poretz angemailt me! It moechgte it in your forum run Ryder publishes! I would endorse it, if you wait thereby to erste(Urrumpf) are finished, because then can we about delivery time and costs talk! If the intteresse is really so large, I will then treat the project times with priority! We were now 3 people and have it not hasty! But if you liked, are to get you you! Do you know R&B hood technology? http://www.rub haubentechnik.de/ Schau you now already get times purely, here the Cobra, twin star, DS 22. In preparation the Gazelle is the Agusta 109 and the UC 117. Do you fly the old Helis? I learned 1980 with Bell 222 coaches of Schlueter flies and actually flew up to the Futura all mechanisms. At present we (Hans Boehm = R&B hood technology and I) are at Indoorhelis at the work, for the Hummingbirth the first cell are on the R&B side to be seen! The Enstroem 280 looks an indoor heli coil in such a way like a heli coil! At present in my possession: Cobra Heli coil baby mini Boy Bell of 222 coaches SX 81 Scout Superior Magic 1 Futura Contest Futura SE Now unfortunately not all flight-finished! But we want to create still further. Achim Krueger long STR. 15 31311 Uetze 05173/2731 0171/2043277 Skype aktm62

It looks like the Cheyenne isn't the only old heli that they are working on.

Rough translation but I get it

The gist of the message sounds like good news. Let me guess, Google translator was used?

Hey Larry, you or I should Skype him and see what happens.

This is great! Just have to wait for the next step.

I use Babefish to translate and it doesn't always get the syntax quite right. I only recognize a few words of German but the Babelfish is enough to get the idea across. I don't think that Achim
had any idea that there was this much interest in the Cheyenne. At least it appears that they might step up the project time wise. If he sends me any more info I'll be sure and pass it along.
