Everytime I go to the Gohbee web site it says 60 and 90 Stinger coming soon, But If you look at the 30 and 50 kits it always says

"BACKORDERED: Shipment may be delayed!"

Whats up with that? Are they ever going to get some kits in?
Is it safe to order from them if they get kits are they going to be out of part or limited kits?

If you feel nervous....Steer clear !! Better to err on the side of caution untill you see evidence to support your business.

the 50s are the ones on backorder
the 30s are shown as in stock and have been for a couple of weeks now
the 60/90 is a new heli and will be released when Ghobee is happy with its content
I bought a Stinger 50 back in march and was very impressed with it so much that I lost interest in my Century helis (sold most of em )
I picked up a Stinger 30 at IRCHA too
I have about 8 web-orders from Gohbee so far and each was perfect
you choose the shipper and the real-time inventory has been acurate
the rep code discount covers the shipping cost usually anyway
the issues i had with both helis were typical ARF stuff , mainly locktight
the early clutch was poor but the new raptor type works fine
I think they are good machines and a good value

I just receieved my Stinger 30 last week. David Ellison is a very good person to work with. I orderd several items, including a Gohbee canopy for my Raptor 50. The plastic canopies are on backorder. David gave me a nice used Raptor canopy for free. I don't know many companies that would do this.
Sure there may be some small issues but I have been following this company on the forums and am impressed with the speed at which they are working out these problems.
I expect Gohbee Aviation to be a major power in this industry in the not so distant future.
My 2 cents.

Stick with a manufacturer with an organization and distribution that can support the product. In a year or two you will be wondering where you can get parts for your Stinger. Go with either a Hirobo, or Thunder Tiger product and you will not be dissappointed. Great prices, great product support, ample parts supplies, both quality products, that fly great.

A company that doesn't own the design nor the factory and make little change here and there using base model taken from other manufactuer. I don't see how they won't be sucessful.

Isn't the Ghobee a cloned Raptor?

They aren't discussing the Tiger. They are talking about a Gohbee Stinger.

Yes from the swash plate down they are basically a raptor but the head is completely different and flies like a dream compared to a raptor. You have to fly one to really appreciate how much better than a raptor they fly. Its like night and day.

Is the head similiar to the Hirobo Evo head? It looks the same.

I love the Stinger 50. Call Dave if you have a question, he'll call you back quick. People don't believe it untill they have seen a Stinger fly. You don't even have to be on the controls to see how good it tracks. My Raven sits in the work shop now. The Stinger flies as good as the Raven, but without all the eCCPM interaction. No eCCPM means you can use the TX trims.

Yes the stinger is interchangable with the Raptor from the swash down
that means all the OEM and aftermarket Raptor upgrades could be used on the Stinger(from the swash down)
This is a good thing if you want a CNC fan ,carbon baseplate , metal tail box ,ect.
If Gohbee dissapeared overnite ,(which they WILL NOT)a Stinger could stay flying on TT parts

Last time I spoke to David at Gohbee he said that the 50 kits are built and just waiting for the boxes to come from the printers.
And then the slow boat ride to get here.
Unfortunately he is expecting them to arrive just after Xmas.

The new 90 is getting very close to being ready for market. The 90 had some issues that took a little while to figure out before mass production begins.

On the bit about getting parts from the manufacturerer. I have to remind people about the Nexus (yeah you can still kinda get parts), or how about the Xcell (old bent frame model) Yeah you can kinda get parts too but they are like the red headed step child that those companies don't want to deal with anymore. I've got both of those, perhaps that's why I'm picking on them..

Russ, You should treat yourself to some new machines and stop fighting the losing battle of an ever decreasing parts supply. Sell that Nexus airframe for parts and put your stuff in a brand new 30 somthing.

929pilot, I've got a Raptor 30v2 that I enjoy alot, in fact it's my main machine.. But the Nexus was my 1st and since I'm still in the hovering around mode its fine for my limited skills. If anything I'd like to cram a .37 into it and use it for a scale model. But with the prices of this Glohbee thing I might have to ebay the parts and go with that...
