Hi Folks,

I started a spreadsheet on rigging a Tiger 50. I need to know what servos are the pros using? I plan on using digital servos and using Duralites 1900 mAh Li-Ion with 5.3 regulator and HD switch. I use the Airtronics in my Raptor 90SE, but this is CCPM so I think it will require something that draws much less power. Any suggestions?

TIA,

Bart

Iam using futaba 3151s , they are the low end digital servos and dont draw alot of power.

Hey I didn't ask for this fetish.!!!But I'am sure paying for it....

i'm also using the futaba s3151 servos. they're good for the money, but if you want the top notch stuff, Airtronics 94758Z 0.06/115 at 6vdc, JR DS8417 0.10/80 at 6vdc

I have the Airtronics in my Raptor 90SE. With CCPM I don't think I'll need all that power.

S9252 Seems to be my choice. I think I'll order three of em!

Bart. I've been looking into the Tiger50 myself. Nice machine, some great features, Raptor type pricing.

9252's on the collective, Hi-Tec 5475HB on the throttle, 401/9254 on the tail, Hotwings Opticle sensor with TJ Pro for my Gov. all running on a 9Z

This puppy with the 9252's will flip inside itself, running KSJ1383 Spindle, TT600 main blades and rotortech 92 tails for 30-50 size bird. OS50 Hyper, Wildcat 30% Curtis blend.

I'm very pleased with the performance of this one, and after Steven put his in in Mulberry I will be updating his to match mine.

Harbor Freight #46725

Hi,

The workbench that I use and modify is on sale for $16.99 at Harbor Freight part number #46725. I have three and plan on getting another one. Then I buy a lazy susan hinge at Home Depot or Lowes for $5.99.
I follow the instructions in Ray's and make some oak wood hold downs that can keep the heli stable or I slide in the lazy susan! I only use the stable portion to set up my curves.

BTW, is it true that the Tiger 50 needs to be beefed up a little where the boom mounts into the frame?

All I did with mine was to sand the rear halves of the frame just a tad to allow the frame halves to tighten up a bit more and I havn't had any problems with the tail loosening up, or you can wrap a piece of good 3M black electrical tape on it. we have found that the tail can work it's way loose after a good day of flying.

Pulling out the screws on an ARF kit and running some 320-400 grit paper between the rear frame where the boom goes does a nice job.

i did the 3M Super 88 tape method. When I do pull the frames apart someday I'll do the sanding method. Also, don't crank those 4 bolts down too hard.. the plastic on the top of that portion of the frame where the bolt passes through on mine has buckled and cracked slightly =\
