Just spoke to TB last night. The first FEW kits are just about to ship - TB & JK will each assemble and fly. If that goes well, then each dealer will get approx. one each. Assuming no big issues i.e. recall stuff, kits will then begin shipping in full force. They are deligent and deliberate, and don't want the customers to beta test their new heli. What they have done wrong is poor communication. One reason for poor comm. is that they didn't want to project dates and then not meet them, but besides that comm. has been really bad. Shouldn't be too long now!

Forgive me, but "communication" isn't just about setting dates. Keeping us (interested) folks informed of progress near or far away is better than not saying anything or getting word from a third party. The Synergy website hasn't been updated since it was first created; info such as the one posted above would take a mere minute or so to add to the News section. Keeping progress "secret" does nothing more than create speculation and negative feelings. It provides fuel for those that do not see the grandness of the Synergy project and that have nothing better to do than shoot-down a new product. If you're going to have a website show-casing your product, update it frequently otherwise you might as well take it down.

I think they've done a fine job communicating their product. The problem is everyone wants dates and that's exactly what they can't commit to. Get over it. It will be ready when it's ready. If you don't like it buy something else to fly. If you think it's going to be worth it and you want to wait then wait. Plain and simple.

Their website has been updated serveral times since it was first created.

I'm not sure what the big surprise is here folks, many, if not all companies release very little information about their products until they are ready to ship. Afterall, why wold anyone want to give their competitors any idea what they're working on.

Hey RCfan, I agree with you, but the thanks I get for sharing good up-to-date info is for you to flame and rail on about something that I ALREADY SAID:

One reason for poor comm. is that they didn't want to project dates and then not meet them, but besides that comm. has been really bad.

If you're that negative, but want to help, forward your post to them:

Todd Bennett: freestyle3D@yahoo.com

Jason Krause: JK@jkheli.com

Next time read my whole message and try to understand it, and don't rant about what I said already [ or I will forbid you to read my messages! ]

ehn, I wasn't picking on YOU just stating my opinion and feeling over what I've read, chill out!

Ace Dude, other than what was posted on their web site (day 1), nothing has changed to indicate anything about the product. No pricing information; no reseller information; nothing about pre-ordering; NOTHING!!!!!! I don't need to know or want anything about a date, I don't care, I simply want to know where to go place an order or reserve mine, don't really think that is too much to ask. Pretty obvious that it will be ready when it's ready, duh , what's your point? I've been ready to buy an N9 since I saw the first demo ... that was almost 9 months ago now. I'm still waiting and will continue to wait as long as necessary, just think it would be nice to get SOME info instead of NONE at all from the actual "makers".

Did it ever occur to you that they can't post information they simply don't have? How can they possibly set pricing information until every last part and packaging material item has been ordered? What's the point of pre-ordering? People don't want to pre-order unless they know when the product is going to available. They they start complaining just like you mentioned.

Talk is cheap until the product is ready to ship.

My point is you really need to understand what's involved from a business perspective.

Despite what you may think, this is all about running a business.

WOW! Most businesses I've seen usually have a pretty good idea of what their product will cost before going into production. I've never known one that designs and produces a product which is "near" shipment and have no clue on what the pricing will be or who their resellers are, have you???!?!?! Regardless, based on info from ehn, kits should be hitting some folks' hands soon, hence my point that some "official" news should be posted on their site ... pricing has to be known, dealers have to be know ... PLEASE PUBLICIZE THE INFORMATION!

Well, if you've never known one to have pricing uncertainty "near" shipment then you haven't spent much time understanding business. Every business has pricing uncertainty. Perhaps you missed the recent GM employee pricing campaing?

How many dealers do you really think there are in this hobby? The only major US distributors are Horizon and Great Plains. I'm pretty sure it's a safe bet that Rick's and/or HeliProz will be carrying the Synergy line.

If you're that uptight, why not just contact Synergy using the contact information that ehn provided. How hard can it be?

RCfan, they had resellers lined up LONG ago, so don't make assumptions. But give them a break - they are for the most part great heli pilots, not business guys, and they have made some painful business mistakes along the way, including a major one that cost them at least 6 months. So they haven't been snoozing or scratching their butts. They are trying to put together a great 3D heli that doesn't need several major and/or minor revisions shortly after release. I agree completely about the lack of timely updates. However pricing I disagree with. I don't think they have had a good idea until recently, if in fact they do yet. And I'm sure they haven't wanted to get locked into a price range while they are redesigning parts, etc.

The good news is that they are coming down the home stretch, it won't be long now. I already received my first Synergy canopy over a month ago from Arizona Helis, and my second one is on order. I'm looking forward to discussing set-up, engines, tweaks etc soon!
