| Our Audacity Tech Support Forum is on our website for a reason. It is fortunate indeed I happened to be surfing through here and noticed this thread because things could otherwise lead to injury or tragedy! Folks, PLEASE call us whenever you experience difficulties because usually we can provide assistance. This is a perfect example!
These parts, AUD1005 Tail Slide Ring Sleeve and AUD0013 Tail Pitch Plate feature a left-hand thread and hence, unscrewing it (like usual) simply doesn't work! Similarly, when you try to screw it back together again, then as was observed, it doesn't work either!
That's because these parts aren't made with the usual right-hand thread we all expect. And, they aren't made this way by accident, it's by design. Furthermore, these are small and hence, delicate parts. As a result it's rather easy to strip them out by twisting them in the wrong direction - and don't laugh at this modeler, the same thing has happened to me!
But here's what's worse . . . resorting to brute force, i.e. by forcing the pitch plate over the thread might lead to failure because the parts were never intended to be assembled this way. Imagine if there were a failure because of this and the model hurt the modeler or somebody else!
Remember, you, and you alone, are responsible for the safe operation of your model helicopter. Furthermore, unlike with a print magazine or other reputable source of information where those dispensing advice have been vetted, you cannot possibly know the level of experience of whomever may be offering advice in these places because by their very nature they operate in anonyminity because posters use handles instead of their real names! While these forums are fun to participate in because they build a sense of community amongst modelers, they are NOT a substitute for contacting us first when you have a question.
What's more, relying on our noticing an error in a public posting and offering assistance is an unnecessary risk you are taking with not just your life, but that of anybody nearby because it's neither our responsibility (nor do we have the sheer manpower) to monitor all the public conversations throughout the Internet! That we noticed this one was sheer good fortune, so please remember these are not toys. Instead, they are miniature models that can easily through bad fortune main, cause death, or property damge!
Whomever you are, I beg you to please contact me for a replacement AUD0013 Tail Pitch Plate so a proper repair can be effected!
