Thanks for the compliments...
As for the field its great if you stay on the runway. 50 ft. past the runway is tall grass filled with nasty things like rattlesnakes, water moccosins, alligators, and bulls. It makes retrieval \, shall we say exciting

Other than that its great no houses buildings or people around. Closest thing to us is a sand quarry about 3/4 mile from the end of the runway.

That sounds like a good idea. We do have a rule that 2 people go out to retrieve.
Unfortunatly that doesn't always help, Last year we had one of the older member pass away out there from a heart attack, and just a few weeks ago someone else got caught up in the barb wire, fell face first into a canel with his foot still trapped in the wire. Luckily he was able to keep his head above water till we could find him, and get him out.
