Haven't flown yet. Got the ccpm working. There was no place that told me in my 9C manual what servos to hook up to what channel. Maybe somebody can clear that up. I ended up figuring it out by looking on page 80 of the 9c manual and reading the troubleshooting. Channels were mentioned there but not real specific.

Anyway I started off with a clean slate model in memory.
Swash SR-3
From the pilot seat,
Right servo on ch6, left servo on ch1 and front servo on ch2

Ch1 reversed
Swash AFR PIT -50 others +50

I don't know how you can designate any of them airleron, elevator or collective since they all mix together.

Works great except I see a bump near thr top of full collective. Either the front elev is lagging or the two sides have too much.

I do have the 23mm elev servo horn and 20mm on the other two.

How shoud I tackle that?

Hi hootowl,
The Pitch and aileron channels in this type of CCPM can be interchanged.
For eg in your case, if you swap these channels, the servo throw for aileron commands will be in the opposite undesirable direction. You will have to change SWASH AFR for aileron from +50 to -50 to correct this and you are through.

for the jumps, my guess is, HOVER PITCH function is not disabled. Try inhibiting it.

Hope this helps.

Really what happened was I noticed binding/overtravel at the front and reduced the endpoint. Later on I noticed the bump up top of full collective.

In the end it was pretty much getting the elev front servo horn centered when the stick was centered. I needed -40 subtrim on the elev servo to get the horn vertical. All my ATV's are at 100%. I noticed the elev (front) bellcrank is very weak. It bends much too easily coming out the side radial slot. It's easy to observe by simply turning on your system and grab the front swash ball. Try raising and lowering against the servo. Way too much weakness there. The extra long steel ball attached to the small lever is just too much leverage. This is definately an upgrade requirement to metal.

I'm having a lot of fun getting this thing up and running. Really looks like a decent ship. We'll see how she holds up in a crash

Report coming

Thanks

Mike
