I got my dd tail mod Friday and would like to check in on some of you experienced mod builders with this package..besides making sure the rotor blade is on right,,
Anything else that might need addressing as you put it together?
Any tips on what not to do...or do?

Blade
1230 mh 2 cell
stock motor/ 10 tooth
Flat bottom blade

Make sure the metal prop shaft adapter is not on the shaft too far, and thus too close to the motor bushing. It must have some clearance.

And make sure it's blowing the correct direction - so as to cause the tail to swing left/nose right when standing behind the heli. Check it with the main motor unplugged before you find out the hard way :-)

Everything ok so far..it flies ok..bit windy here, flew it indoors.
Is it normal for thetail motor to get hot?..almost to hot to touch.
I left a space so that the collar does not rub against the motor housing.
Tail is "pulling left/nose goes right. I have left the heatsink off for trial purposes.because the tail has gained a bit of weight..even without it.

So far so good? I suppose I will put the heatsink on.
Does this seem right?.Not interested in in smoking the motor so early.
