e-E-Flite Blade CP mCX CX 400-3D > Smartest way to diagnose 4in1?

Hi fellow flyers. I am having an issue with my blade and need a little assistance if you don't mind. First of all, my blade has worked pretty flawlessly for the 1 1/2 months that I have owned it. I went to fly her tonight and discovered that it would not initialize. The 4in1 flashes red 3 times and then goes to green. Instead of going solid green after flashing a few times like normal, it flashes back to red immediately. It continues to flash from red to green with no servo response (but it sometimes does jerk around like it attempting to sink up the servos). I did read in another 4in1 discussion that this indicates no signal from the transmitter being detected.

My attempts:
1. I replaced the batteries in the TX (it powers up and goes full strength indicated by the colored LEDs).
2. I opened the back of the TX up to look for any loose connections.
3. I pulled both of the crystal out and reseated them.
4. I gently pulled on the RX antenna to check for any obvious signs of damage.
5. I disconnected the motor outputs on the RX to see if they played a role in this problem.

I have still not had any luck in resolving this issue. Is there a smart way to perhaps diagnose this issue further to find the culprit short of buying new crystals, replacing the 4in1 unnecessarily, etc.? Thanks for any assistance gang!
