Hi!
I'm working on a nexus with a grabby clutch.
the heli has less than a half gallon through it.
when idling the blades will start turning. I rotated the engine with the starter shaft, and noticed the clutch bell wobbling with the engine.
I removed the engine and checked the runout on the clutch ,It has .011 runout!
my question is how can I change that? it is threaded onto the shaft.
And if I get another one,how do i know if that one will be any good?
Thanks for any help!

The clutch bell is preasembled the gear is screwed in clockwise. to remove it unscrews counterclockwise. , the start shaft could be bent. they have been knowen to break but is not a problem with newer models. make sure the bearing support is put in the right way the older ones had to be. the whole assmebly can be removed as one piece after the engine is removed..
if its and older nexus. buy new clutch shoes. they are better the older ones have a tendace to spring out and stay, thus clutch grabing at low engine speed. they will break.
hope that helps.

the cluth slips over the start shaft. if you remove the start cone at the top. the start shaft and clutch shold fall out ..
