what did you do for the boom and skids? Are those Kyosho too?
Any tips for pulling this off? It looks very nice!!!

The boom is a length of 5/16" OD Styrene tubing. The skids were fabricated from two sets of stock skids. If you look at the underside of the Blade skids you will see a groove. I used a length of 2mm OD CF rod stock inserted here as a splice to extend the forward end of the skids like the full size Schweizer 300. The canopy and fins are from Tower as replacement parts for a Kyosho Caliber M24. It's one of my favorite daily flyers and does quite well flying with 3s 1320 ThunderPower Lipo's and the aerobatic enhancement kit from Horizon. The slight increase in weight makes it a very stable flyer even in gently gusting winds.

You really should put together a kit and sell em ... I'd be first in line. In the mean time, I must try to do this. I love the way it looks. Love it.

Boyd,
I notice you have a kick up in the tail boom that wasn't there before in some of your earlier gallery pics. How did you make the bend, and do you know where we could find the sytrene tube? Thanks!

I left a one inch stub of the original CF tailboom at each end of the tail boom. These telescope into the styrene tubing. The canted angle of the boom (which mimics the full size S300) was the result of a little heat gun work The styrene tubing came from Tower Hobbies. If you have a good LHS and he has a Platistruct rack, you should find it there.
