The 4-in-1 smacked the cement from 20-30' up.

Just a small crack on the outter plastic covering of the 4-in-1. I can't find any VISIBLE cracks,burns,breakage, or bad solder joints on the boards anywhere.

Now it just twitches as if the transmitter isn't on.

Could it be the crystal?

My guess is the 4in1. Just kidding. I would try the crystal as you mentioned and if it doesn't work then you know.
