e-E-Flite Blade CP CX 400-3D > Help with acrobatic manoeuvres?

I am a newbee so please bear with me. The blade is my first heli and am having a blast with it. I am progressing very well from what the local heli expert said. I think I am ready to try some inverted manoeuvres, but I don't know which one is the easiest on the blade. I have put the acro kit on my blade and use tanic 830 3cell. I can do loops and rolls without problem on G2, but we all know the blade responds a little weak in the tail. What manoeuvre did you try first and which one would you recommend first? Also how do you set up for the manoeuvre ( speed and altitude). Thank you for any advise I am sure it will help me save money on spare parts.

Ok I did not get any reply so I tried a loop first. I got over okay, but gave I gave negative pitch on top instead of neutral pitch. The result was not that pretty, but safe. I performed several more loops all from forward flight with better results. Each loop was started from about 50ft into the wind with full forward flight speed. The roll was next and I was suprized at how easy it was. Again I started from about 50ft with full forward flight speed into the wind. I rolled it over and aplyed full negative pitch. The forward speed droped off, but it rolled back over and into normal flight. I performed several more rolls and loops that flight until the battery started to drop off. I am suprized at how easy it was.

If anyone is going to try inverted for the first time I would say the roll is easier, but you have to enter it with the heli level at speed or it gets alittle ugly. The loop is not bad, but I noticed the tail would fall out some as you go over the top. The only time I got in trouble was when I entered a roll nose down from forward flight. It turned into an ugly spit s. Just enter each one from level flight at full speed into the wind about 50 or 60ft high and you sould be ok. I hope this helps anyone wanting to try inverted for the first time.

Thanks my honeybee is still down from my first attempt. I just tried to flip it over from a hover (fms style ), but I was way too low. I will work up the nerve to follow your instructions once I have her repaired and all trimmed out.

Great job . Next you will be flying across your field inverted really high. I have crashed so many times learning all this and found the secret is to not be afraid of crashing yet still take precautions and keep it high. If you dont feel comfortable then dont do it. I am still not ready for low inverted flight but it will come.

I took your advise and removed the fly bar weights. It cleaned up the cyclic and made acrobatics easier. I have been getting better at normal and outside loops, rolls, and split s. When ever i go invertd for more than a few seconds the tail seems to get a little crasy. Is this just the nature of this beast without heading hold?
