| Hi gang. I am very new to helis and this is my first post.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to help with this.
I purchased my blade cp from an online source and thought it was new. Now, I am not so sure. I have been having a time just getting it to hover. I have done things like the "sticky collective fix" and such as well to enhance the craft. Well, it suffered a pretty good crash and I have now had to rebuild it from the frame up. I was able to reuse the electronics, but 65% of everything else was replaced due to damaged gears, etc. Although the rebuild was a little tedious, it has been an important lesson in understanding how these birds go together.
I am wondering if my servo linkages are in the proper position. Looking from the top/front of the craft: the left rear servo linkage was in the top hole of the servo "T", the right rear linkage was in the middle of the "T", and the front (collective) was in the bottom hole of the servo "T". It seems to me that perhaps these should be equal (like all in the middle hole) to keep the ccpm smooth. Perhaps I am wrong. I thought that pitch adjustments came from the pitch control links located at the top of the head assembly. With this in mind, I am not sure why these servo linkages would be set to this much of a difference. I did notice when I first got the heli, the frame would really flex when I gave it a lot of left roll (this is the one that had the linkage at the top maximum range of the servo "T"). Upon scrutinizing further during the rebuild, I noticed that the servo "T's" had the middle holes a little wallowed out on the other two servos in question. This may indicate that they were indeed placed there from the manufacturer. Should they be moved back to the middle, or left where I originally found them. I am trying to not crash it so bad on the next flight. I am sorry to have typed so much info, but I wanted to provide enough understanding as to my issue so that it may better assist in finding the answer. Thanks. |
