| The basic equiped model (not the automous package) from conversations I had with the fellow who is supposed to be responsible for it in the US (US Yamaha Robotics) tells me its about $80,000. NASA has 2 of em by the way, as well as a couple of universities in California. This was back in early June. They were supposed to have sent me a promo package. I have not recieved anything to date, nor any further info.
And by the way, this is not a toy. It must be registered just like a full scale aircraft. There are regulations regarding where and how it is operated. I am in Canada and researched the topic here. Other than having safety people at location and means of communication. Transport authorities must be notified in advance in writing (fax or email) as to where, what & when. Who are the contact people on location. Emergency numbers to be at hand ect. It doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. I am certain if it is used for emergency/rescue/police use certain criteria could be flexed. The only disadvantage I see is getting thru the government buracacy. Is the Amercian government more efficient than the Canadian government. lol.
