| If anyone is interested, the above mentioned tail motor works just as well, if not slightly better than the stock tail motor. If is still just as prone to having thes armature's bushing pulled out, though. I found that out when I struck a 1inch stone with the tail rotor. I epoxied the bushing back in. We'll see how long it takes to burn out.
For any other pilot's learning to fly fling wing, I found a simple way to protect the tail rotor/motor from "carpet strikes" as I like to call them. If you're like me, you've probably purchased a crash kit, or two, or three... Cut the forward side of a spare tail skid off from the curved end up to and including the vertical strut joint. Slide the skid onto the tail boom anti strike strut with the curved end facing backwards. I;ve found this to work great from a learner's stand point.
