2 all bling bling hellis!!!!

I have been flying Sceadu 50's now for a long time and they have been great but maybe it's time to have a play with something else.

A long time ago I looked at the Quick 50 but after using some of there parts on my Sceadu's with extremely limited success (the wash out block wears out after only a couple of flights) I decided not to bother.

A few months back a guy I fly with decided to have a go at importing quickworldwide hellis and parts into the UK. He is a really nice bloke but unfortunately he didn't take any warnings from other club members and went to meet Irwin. He came back with 6 hellis to try out, now as a potential importer you would have thought he would have got a good deal, yeah right he got 10% of retail (that was his own fault) but what he ended up with wasn't.

I did offer to help him out and fly one at the masters this year with his logo or something on it for a bit of free publicity for him. Not a chance these machines were fit for the bin bag, even before crashing! Parts missing/wrong and as for the end product when finally finished what a joke give me an mossy basic anyday!

As I said I have been looking for a new 50 to play with. The Knight 50 looks pretty cool and they do seem to be taking note of what people are saying.

No helli is perfect and part of the hobby is trying to get the best out of your machine, but like a house you need decent foundations.

Looks like I'll have to have a play with a Knight 50 maybe even change my screen name if its any good

not for the UK thankyou

interesting about this bloke who was going to import.
I remember some one from Leicester.
Luke collins headed up the team, trying to import those quick WW helis to the UK.
From what I heard back then, all the kits were either missing bits or had faulty ones. I read several threads on RR and they were full of pilot in America etc that have had lots of cr@p from this Irwin guy when their kits are faulty.

I don't think any one will be prepared to import these to the UK until Irwin sorts the product out. or if they do, then they need their bumps feeling for sure!!!.

But with the new Knight 50, it looks like Irwin can forget the UK.
I've seen that knight 50 flown at many flyins and shows by Bob Johnston and it simply does the business.. maybe change the links for better ones.

if it a blinged up 50 you want, don't go near those nasty Quick ww 50. You can imagine what a nightmare it will be to get parts in the UK!!

And whats that about some poor sod paying 10% off retail as a potential importer? Quick WW saw him coming !.

the Knight 50 has just been reviewed in the heli mag this month. out in the UK!.. compass i think the manufacturer is. imported through Skyline models in the UK!.

hi.
I know the man who has been over to see this Irwin geezer, bought 6 models got ripped off and been fighting them ever since.
I have tried to help where I can regarding setup but that does not seam to be the main issue.
kit quality is appauling. He has had to send back far to many faulty parts for exchanges.
If the parts are not even finished properly they are bent out of true when supplied. Things don't fit. All put right when sent back and replaced but that no good for the end user.
And it is not as if Quick WW have been doing this for two weeks!.

The last problem here are the gears. I flew the quick 50 and to be honest it flew ok. A bit heavy and dosile, but it could be livened up. But the noise from the gears is unacceptable.

I am told that when inspected there was massive run out in the main gear and hub it bolts too. He struggles on but I can't see how he will be able to get Quick WW to sort them selves out because they have been bad for a while now and clearly are no better.
I do feel so sorry for this chap as he is trying so hard to get them flying.
if the Quick WW kits were complete with all the parts made properly, they do show promise...

Si

Hi SA

if you can't decide between the excellent product of the Knight 50 or the utter garbage of the QWW 50, then your brain must be full of all that s**t that you normally save to come from your gob

As I said in my previous post the guy who was trying to import quick hellis at our club is a decent bloke.

Unfortunately we do have another member alias "bakkyman"
and as anyone who was unfortunate enough to talk to (or should I say be cornered by him) at the masters will understand.

Maybe Bakkyman and Irwin should team up together, between them they will have a people skill level of ZERO!

SA,

don't forget to save some of that verbal diahorrea for the field tomorrow, you know we all love hearing about where you came in the masters about 15 to 20 times a day (NOT).

I also remember you trying the Quick 50, this heli had a tired engine and it was one of the first flights with new mechanics and all yuo could do was slag it off by saying it not a sceadu and it not a west engine

nothing like giving the heli a decent chance

Hey Bakkyman & SceaduAbuser, are you too as friendly towards each other as you are making out?

Bet your club as a nice chilled atmosphere

Happy flying

would be quite a good club if we didn't have all the trumpet playing about how well he did in the masters.

we know how he did, we were there to watch him, but still he goes on about it

credit to where credit is due though, he did do well in the masters this year.

and he has also got valid points about the quick 50 being lower than a pile of poo

I guess driving a truck all day on your own changes reality somewhat

Reading the above looks like you want one, you deserve it!

The quick main gear sounds nearly as bad as you

Hi.
Was flying all day today at the field.
the guy with the Quick WW stuff was there today.

He had changed the stock paddles for slightly more lively ones. tell you what, now he has all the right parts made correctly, it was looking pretty darn good to me.
I was hoping for a bit of a go, but I think he would have had kittens.

If only quick WW would ensure the contents of the kit are all perfect parts and all there.. From what I see, they would be a very credible bling 50!.

And previous agressive posts appear to have paid their tole on Sceadu abuser. I think he decided to stay away today and give bakkyman some space.

Shame, cause his handle, (Sceadu abuser) is very apt!. Entertaining flyer to say the least.
Simon.
