I did a search but could not find anything. Has anyone been able to successfully use any other Tx with the Blade CP?

Yes - people use Futaba shift transmitters with this heli. You need a FUTABA short, single conversion crystal (do not risk trying any other brand of crystal) for the Blade Rx to match your Tx frequency.

I am in the process right now..

of using my 9c...as stated...you must use a "futaba" Crystal...Hitek will not work!!! I found out the hard way.

I do like it better on my 9c already cause I can adjust the pitch curves and throttle curves easily.

I hovered last night and was making tweaks...it is getting closer to being correct and flying as it did with the stock radio. This is my first foray into CCPM...as I have raptors and never had to figure it out before...

I too am using my Futaba 9 CHP. You can also use Berg Crystals - they work just as good as the Futaba as I used a Berg from one of my receivers to test out my 9CHP initially. Yes, I ended up getting a Futaba Crystal because I had to put the Berg back into my receiver, but it worked just fine. Another point here to you guys looking at using another tranmitter, at least with the Futaba line, is that as long as your transmitter can do CCPM and the crystal is single conversion (Not Hitec as I too learned the hard way the moment I plugged the battery in) you should be good to go. There is another thread here of a guy who split open his 4 in 1 and was able to install his JR receiver. I do like the fact of being able to set my own Throttle and Pitch Curves. I also have Throttle Hold active for that just in case scenerio. Boyd's mod of putting in the Hummingbird CP one way bearing/shaft assembly works great too. I did it and love it as the headspeed stays more constant (doesn't drop as quick when decreasing throttle inputs in normal mode). Mine gets the hiccups here and there and others that have Blades noticed it too. They haven't experienced any probs what so ever and found it odd when I told them about mine. Well, they saw it too. I tend to think it's my brushes arching ever so often as the motor will jump (can see quick change in rotor speed) and the pitch (I think) changes due to this glitch anomoly. After seeing Boyd's bird I'm crossing over to Brushless with seperates and run a Berg RX. I have the same setup on my Hummer FP and never looked back - awesome power and 100% reliability - will just hank everything off the Hummer and put it all in the Blade. Should work great on the Blade and then I can get the full potential out of her. Too afraid right now to roll her over on her back as I never know when she's going to "jump".

tweeked and working great

No more glitch...although that could be a function of the new 4 in 1 and not the use of my radio...but at any rate...she flies...and flies well...I can go far away from myself now and no glitch!! yea!!!

I flew so well...I flew it right into a tree branch...she fell 6-8 feet to the ground...and I though "oooo thats going to leave a mark!!"

Well I busted a blade...thats it...

And with my own radio I was able to run the symetrical blades on the stock battery no problem....but now that I busted the flat blades I think it is now time to go to LiPo's I have been waiting till I got my 9c functioning well so I could controll the throttle curves. Well they are under control!

still lovin' this heli

I'd watch running 3s Li-Pos. I think that's what messed my 4in1 up. All was good until I did some areobatics with it (full collective, pitch up to inverted, roll to and out of inverted). After a pack of that and the main rotor esc got weird. On mine it's not the Rx glitching, I replaced the 4in1 Rx with a JR and still the collective is jumpy at hover.
