Century Hawk - Falcon - Raven - Predator > Hawk IV Ball Bearing Upgrade

I'm putting in the ball bearing upgrade kit on my Hawk IV. I'm at the seesaw shaft and removed the bushings. Those bushing were tight around the shaft - 3mm. The instructions say to put the 3x10 mm ball bearings in place of those. The bearings I have are 10mm and fit in their sockets but the shaft is now loose between the bearings - I think they are 4 x 10 not 3 x 10. Is this correct or do I need to get the right bearings from the store?

Thanks!

Also

It seems to me wherever I put the ball bearings, it becomes "stiffer" as in I can feel it nudging from ball to ball when I turn things and also tighter as opposed to free spinning with the bushings. Is this normal?

Thanks again!

Ok - frustrating. How the heck do you loosing a bolt that is connected to a spacer type nut where on the other end is another bolt. I get one bolt off, and, probably b/c I used loctite (per the manual) when I go to the other side and try and loosen the other bolt it just spins and spins because there's nothing on the other side. Probably a dumb question but I'm pounding my head. I don't want to grab the spacer with pliers in fear that I might ruing the threads. Help!

hawk upgrades

I also have been adding some bb upgrades to my hawk 3.Be very carefull with the locktight don't get any near the bb orelse seize them up.Also when you install the new bb parts in the parts pack there is usually some small washers that go between the bb and heli part that way when you tighten parts up the force goes on the washer not the bb and parts will move freely. When i added the bb elevator connector i had to cut down the spacer and the bolts that hold the spacer together or else they don't fit.

Looks like the bearing upgrade kit had the wrong size bearings. Drove out to Century today and swapped them out with the right size. That fixes my problem. Now I have to break the loctite to get the other aileron bellcrank off and I should be done.
