Which one would be the most recomended? Have a 401 now on a Fury and like it but I need another for a Vigor. I just can't make up my mind, please help!

I'm no expert, but this is how I answered the same question for myself:

I asked myself how many rudder-intensive maneuvers I perform. The answer? 0.

By "rudder intensive", I mean stuff like fast pirroflips, etc. Not just regular old hovering or some flips/rolls. For that kind of stuff, the 401 is perfect. If you're going to be doing some heavy rudder stuff, get the 502, or even better just save and get the 601.

I just bought a 502 for my new Fury Extreme, while I've not flown it yet, I like the idea of having separate travel limits on the tail. This was one area that I felt the 401 was very limited. Also there are several other parameters that one can tweak on the 502.

I'm told that a stock, non tweaked 502 isn't much more of a gyro than a 401. But if you have someone who knows how to properly setup a 502 then it can be noticableably better than the 401.

I know the 601 is heads above these two gyros as it has twice the frame rate of the 502.

If you want one and you can find a good deal on a 502 get it, that's the only reason I bought one. I actually had a 401 new in the box for my Extreme, I just sold it after I got a deal on a new 502.

If the budget will allow, skip the 502, for a 601.

I did what Dave_D suggested. I was thinking of a 502 for my Fury X but then realized that the price of the 502 was close enough to the 601 - I bought the 601!
