Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > JR 460T and JR 810G servo combo?

Hey guys!

I know the 810G servo isnt available int he US yet, but I ended up getting one from overseas. The Team JR guys here in the US are testing it and so far they seem to like it so Im anxious to try it out!

My question is, does anyone else have any experience with this servo and gyro combo? How well does it work? Is it as good as the Futaba 401/9253 combo it is up against? I know the 401 combo is the best out there for the price, but I figured Id give JR a good shot

IF you have any experience with this 460/810G combo, please let me know!

I can't compare it to a futaba setup but I use that combo in my Logo 10, works excellent for me. I'm sure you will find it to be a superb setup.

Actually I bought the combo for my Logo 10! I havent installed it yet because my BRAND NEW Schulze ESC (18.46K) had to be returned for update before I even tried using it. In the meantime, I bought a Logo 20 and need to put a gyro/tail servo in it. I have 5 of the JR 460s and 1 410 so I want to put them to use. The Logo 20 is coming with a 401, but I really want to give the 460/810 a shot!

How is your Logo flying? I think yours is set up just like mine will be - JR 3421s on the CCPM, B50-11L, 13 tooth, 12 cells, etc.

Now if only that ESC would get back here - I guess its done at Schulze and on the way. Thanks for the input!

I like the little heli allot, I get 4 minutes of 3D performance and then the last minute a stay close. I average a little over 5 minutes of total flight time with a 90% curve . The 45 Ho gets 150 degrees as well as the hacker also runs 150 with the heat sink. My batteries get in the 160 to 165 range. I'm using MS 515's, the rest of our setup sounds the same. The 810G seems very crisp. I hope Horizon will import it.

Sounds great!

Are you using 3000s? I'll be using 12 cell and 10 cells Panasonic "Stock Metal" Hydride 3000s in MEC solderless power tubes. When flying my buddy's Logo 10 using the 11L and 13 tooth pinion, even 10 cells looks like it would give 3D performance! We'll see.

Im going to be using the Mikado 500mm fiberglass blades.

By the way - we saw the same temps with canopy on. When we took the canopy off, it was 30 degrees cooler! We're going to try some CPU fans and cut holes in the canopy to help. What is the max temp for Hacker motors? I thought it was around 200. So even 160 isnt bad...

After I try the 460/810G combo in the 20, Im going to order another 810G for the 10 as well.

I'm using 2400's. My temps are with the canopy on and it was hot the day I checked the temps, 90's. I see no need for a fan, I think the schulze will take much more heat. You would have to lug it pretty well to push it around 200. I should be pulling a bit harder running the 515's. The 500's should give you a slightly different ratio and run cooler.
