Thanks Samson for the building pictures. Two things I notice, one is the servo tray material is now plastic where original design was carbon, and the second is that extension cables are needed to route to the receiver locates at the front.

You are right there is a few things like this.

For all who want to mount a YS91 on it. You have to buy an other clutch bell and a KS 961 exhaust Spacer aswell.

I will make a summary more serious when the revo will be finish.

The main rotor and the tail gear and i am finish.

From your K&S Retrailer you can have this spacer.

I have finish the head building all the tail unit.

And still all the electronic.

To avoid any confusion:

1. Every customer will be asked, if he likes a Yamada or O.S. clutchbell (weight), which will be coming with every kit without any additional costs. The reason: Yamada is using another thread at the crankshaft, and our clutch weight will be screwed directly to the crankshaft.

2. The spacer (made of CNC aluminium) which is coming with every kit will fit on every muffler we know. There is no need to buy an additional third party spacer.

3. You have to extend the cables to most servos (like on many other helicopters), except the throttle servo. We are recommending to do this better with solder than with plugs...

4. Carbon frames for the servo unit are available as optional parts later this summer. Standard is solid black colored plastic material, which works perfect.

Best regards

Thomas,
Is this helicopter has a lot of forward CG ?
The canopy is kinda COOL .
Very low on parts count why cost so much ? I guess those moulded tank, skid, front tray add up ? Very interesting swash plate indeed !
Any more fly bar snapping in 3D flight ?
What is the total dry weight ?
Fastest roll rate than any others I must admit.

The CG is perfect at my REVOLUTION (full in center). I have some lipoly cells (2s2p 3000 mAh, weight approx. 130 gr.) along with a special lipoly controller which always supplies the rc components with 5.6 V (weight about 30 gr.). So if somebody likes the CG more forward, just take some heavier batteries... It is enough space at the front tray to move the battery for optimized CG.

In europe we have now the situation that 1 EUR is like 1 $. Therefore, a REVOLUTION is much cheaper here than competitors... A Raptor 90 SE is listed with approx. 1200 EUR!
Of course the EUR is very strong now and will make the REVOLUTION kinda expensive in the states. For example the landing skid costs about 35 EUR (withouth VAT), the front tray complete about 42,24 EUR (without VAT). The whole project was calculated very tuff, so we have to sell some helis to bring the costs of the moulds back... no question. But the first production circle is sold out. The next one has started and will be finished in about 10 to 12 weeks.

The bar snapping is history. The main reason was the 16 gr. flybar paddle. Because of less centrifugal energy comparing to the big surface of the MAH CFK paddles, we notified flybar deformations what sometimes ended in a snapping because the flybar was running out of the track. Therefore we are now using 20 gr. or 25 gr. flybar paddles. At the TORNADO heli, we also noticed slightly deformations with 12 gr. and 16 gr. paddles, but they were not as strong as on our REVOLUTION (because of less power).

What do you mean with total dry weight?
My REVOLUTION weight is 4,62 kg with everything up like blades, rc components, canopy (but no fuel).
We didn't reached the 4.2 kg goal, because we decided to make the landing skid and the front tray a bit stronger because of the huge power of this heli. Therefore we put approx 200 gr. more material and less air to those parts.
A weight of 4,4 kg should be possible with some easier and less components than I have (for example using a GY401, no governor, no temperature monitor etc.). We also found out, that the flight characteristics is optimized at this weight (proportion power/weight).

Best regards
Thomas

What type of starter is needed for the Revolution.
It looks like it needs a one way bearing in the starter shaft (not like the Rapter/JR system)?
