Got the 50 with Hyper this week

Going to run it with all new equipement

I got Super Mario going to help build\setup and then try to break it in the air with his wicked 3D

If it lives till Monday....its a solid heli!!!

Talk to me about the clutch, its the only thing that looks like a holdover from a Rappy V1! The gears looked different, but other than that it looks real good.

I shaved .160 thosands off the top of the fan to get the clutch to stop draging and then the engine mount hole line up better to.

did it used to drag while it wasnt running too? I got mine setup now so it it free until I start it then it enages right at idle. No matter how slow I get it to idle its still engaged. But when the motor isnt runnning its fine.

I just ordered a raptor start shaft and clutch to try also. Im already using a TT .50 fan instead of the gohbee one

i have been in Gohbee's website. can not find any introduction of the company? maybe i am just too far away. who is founder of the company, where are they, what they do? the stinger looks so much like one of the Chinese Heli called TZ 30~50, is it the same thing?

there is a number of prices for the stinger 50
269.00 US w/out main blades and a plastic canopy
340.00 US w/mah main blades and a fiber glasll canoyp
these are the low and high prices.

The stinger is excellent as a first heli.
The initial investment is smaller than a raptor.
And the repair parts are also less expensive than Raptor.
Everyone crashes sooner or later.
It also flies well.

Well today we finally got everything tuned right, the motor almost dialed in, and the pitch set right (we dont have a flybar lock)

The consensus among the 3 pilots there....

IT TOTALLY ROCKS!!

Maybe partly because everything on it is new, servos, engine, etc, but mostly due to the Head and the tail.

The tail is way faster than any Raptor, its probably as fast as an XCell.
The head is way smooth, predictable, and more aggressive at the ends. It rolls and flips as good as a Rappy with VPaddles with the stock setup. Its a true joy to fly. The only thing that is a pain is the lack of a one-way in the starter shaft, our one-way wand let go. Also, the tank and fuel tubing seem questionable, but we havent verified that yet. I am going to let the motor have at least a gallon before changing out the fuel tank.

I think so far its great, Mario tried his hardest to break it in flight with some very hard, aggressive 3D and it took it in stride and asked for more.

Lets see how durable it is, and how it holds up over time, and crashes.

I may even put a Stinger head and tail on my Rappy

I have the stinger 50 and the 30 and both tanks are turd balls, tho if you did not poke a hole in it during the engine install then you should be good.

Lonley Helis is our Raptor Flyin 3D maniac giving me a hard time!!!

We found out the fan was the problem. It was out of spec from manufacturing and was sitting too low in the fan shroud and not flowing enough air in the head. We put on a Raptor Fan it cooled off and ran great. David from Gohbee is sending out a new fan.

Had the tail linkage coupling work itself loose on the ground, had to dremel a slot in it to keep it in place. I need to go through the whole thing this weekend to make sure nothings come loose.

So far it flies awesome! I love it and recommend it to anyone, beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

I hope to get some good video this weekend.

I will probably turn the Rappy into a night flier\spare.
