e-E-Flite Blade CP CX 400-3D > blade Cp on 7.4v li-poly?

i just ordered a blade Cp and was wondering if i could us the a 7.4 li-poly battery to run it. I also ordered the aerobatics kit. Is it good to run only 7.4v. I dunno if the headspeed is enough for liftoff. Could i run it with the regular blade?

Isn't the stock NiMH an 8.6v? Running at lower voltages would make the head speed too low for stable flight.

The stock battery is actually 9.6......
But, hes right.... why would you lower the voltage..... even to say it would fly..... the fly time would not be there at all.

might be good for learning to hover - if you have the 2S pack(s) why not try them and see. I have flown and hovered just fine with my GWS 7C (8.4V) packs intended for the Dragonfly.
btw - isn't a fully charged 2S pack close to 8.5 volts anyway?

I think they sell a motor with a 11T pinon gear. Try that with the 7.2v LiPo and see how it goes. I think the stock pinon is 10T for the 8.4V battery and they sell the 9T pinon for use with 3S Lipos.

fully charged is 8.5v. The voltage shown on the label is 7.4v. I dunno why its like that. I use this for my hornet 2 with a 370 motor but i duno how it would fly with the balde. I duno how much different is the gearing between the two heli.
