e-E-Flite Blade CP mCX CX 400-3D > Blade Trainer Cord?

thrilsekr,

To make PRE-Flight work with the interface, you have to go to Controls/Joystick+Keys menu and, by clicking at Conf. buttons, set up the channels as shown in this picture:

Then, click Calibrate button and follow the instructions.
Finally, you may want to click Test button and verify that the bars are moving properly.

I've just done that--everything's hunky-dory.
I agree, PRE-Flight feels way better than FMS.

OK, so I kinda lied. I can get pre-flight to work. But at full throttle it takes about 15 seconds to lift off, and the highest I have gotten the heli is high enough to make it move, but if I try to steer the skids catch and stop the heli. If I don't steer it will get about 2 inches? high.

I have tried calibrating it about 1 million times.

I don't have aux1 as joy3. Maybe that will do it...

Apparently, Aux1 is the collective pitch. When Joy3 is assigned to throttle only, the heli behaves as if you increase RPM while keeping the blades at nearly zero pitch...

Give it a try and it'll take off easily.

A simulator interface cord is not a trainer cord. But I'm glad you've got it working.

We seem to have wandered off topic, haven't we?

Yes... to make it easy for people to find your information, it's always best to have a thread with a topic (subject) that matches!

This is the blade trainer cord thread.. not the blade simulator cable thread!

Trainer cord?

http://www.heli-world.com/Merchant2...t_Code=CN2001-4

Does this help?

6.95 sounds like a good deal if this is the right product...... Or if it can be made to work. It does look like the right pin setup, but it says it is for "century elite" 4ch. Might be worth it to see if it works at that cost, or at least you could modify it to 6ch? Don't know much, just a newbie.

Hard to tell from the picture, but it looks right. Thanks for the link!

It's hard to tell if this trainer cord is wired for the eFlight transmitter.

The way these trainer cords work, it does not matter how many channels your transmitter has. What is important is how the connectors are wired together.

Also, you need to use matching transmitters when doing a 'training operation'.

I'd recommend that you call them and ask if they have tested it with the e-Flight Blade transmitter or the HoneyBee which is supposed to be the same thing.

I have both, E-flite Blade CP and ESky HoneyBee 2 transmitters, and they are identical (except for the tickers on the front panel).

The traner cord may be not compatible with E-flite/ESky if it is made for Walkera transmitters, which use the same mini-DIN plug but totally different wiring...

This trainer cord which I posted works great.

We had two E-Flight Blade transmitters being used in buddy-box configuration(student, instructor) the other night at our flying site and I was able to help the student out nicely.
