ok, 1st question, I never acctually measures cyclic throw on my concept, I just gave it all it would take. so I assume just measure the cyclic from the paddles?? right ??

my hawk Se will give monster cyclics with the star servo arms, but it binds if I give full left or right or full elevator and pitch at the same time. basically if I give full left and then try to give any pitch the pitch will not move, you can see the nylon bushing in the swash hits the mast, so I assume I can not give this much throw. I now put on the round wheels like the manual suggests but have not had time to measure how much I get. do I just take a measurment on the paddles with the pitch gauge?
with the round wheels I get no where near the amounts of throw as I had with my concept.

other than this all other problems are solved and ready to test fly.
thanks

so now, why would we not want all long balls on the inner ring of the swash and short balls on the bell mixxer, it seems to me that would give the most amounts?

does anyone know why they are generally set up to give either more to the paddles and less to the blades or vise versa??

I just ask this cause everyone in our club flys raptors and they are just not fond of century, I just don't want my first day at the field to be disappointing. I hope to get this to flip and roll real nice.
I have searched many posts and found many different setups

Binding

If you have binding at your servos and at your Bell Cranks, that's because your swash is moving as far as it can, then you have to much servo travel, you'll have to turn down your Servo Travel Adjustment (Servo End Point Adjustments) on the Tx,,, this binding (or pressure) is keeping your swash from moving up and down, that's why your not getting pitch, RIGHT,,, the Hawk SE V2 will fly great when set up as to the manual, you will or should have to move you fly-bar weighs in (some) to get it to roll as tight as you want it to,,, other than that, fly the head as the manual tells you to set it up !!
Make sure the tip of your Bell Mixing Screws are not hitting on your Head-block !!
And keep an eye on your Bell Crank Screws, sometimes they will loosen and back out, I had that happen !!

Now, do me a favor, after you get it together fly it alone and fine-tune your set-up, and then go to the field and fly with the Raptors, (personally) I think you bought the better Heli !!

Email me if you need some mechanical help ,,,, and if you need help with you gyro set-up go to the link and read ALL the replies, link ---> http://runryder.com/showtopic.htm?t...7&topicid=18160

concept,, Important !!

concept1 do this, go to the posting here on the Century pages and read ALL you can on the Hawk's tail binding, you can over travel your tail and brake your Tail Pitch Plate !!,,, you don't want to do that in front of all those Raptors !!
