i put the heat sinks on the tail rotor and the main motor but didnt use the heat sink compound---do you really need the compound for the heat sink to work properly--my heatsinks seem to fit snug or does the compound make the heat transfer better to the heatsink?........thanks.........joe

I have ran my heat inks without the compound for about a week now. The tail motor is definitly running cooler. The main motor is still getting too hot, almost too hot to touch.
I added some heat sink compund today, but not sure it made much difference. I don't think it'll hurt though.
Wish I had a temp gun to tell for sure.
