Has anyone had a problem with the 4:1 not arming. Right out of the box, nothing. The throttle , throttle trim, are all the way down, the the idle-up is off, but I still get an alternating green/red flashing LED (yes, the TX, and Rx are both turned on.)

Thanks

yes they are both on...

but did you turn the transmitter on first?

Also you need to plug in the heli on a flat and level surface and don't move it untill the steady green comes on.

In life there is no spacebar!

Blade problem

Yeah, did all the PHD stuff (push here dummy) Ended up call Horizon, and after a few minutes with a tech, determined it was a dud. Went to LHS, checked again, and exchanged for functioning example.
It did feel a bit strange going back to the hobby shop and exchanging for another heli. Have not been flying for a couple years, and I just can't picture going in with a Robbe, MinAir , Hirobo, or whatever, and asking them to exchange it for another one, this one is broke......

good stuff isn't it?

Can you picture the look on the folks' faces if you tried to do that with a Robbe, MinAir, Hirobo...etc.? They'd say "Fella, your crazy, you have to call Robbe, MinAir, Hirobo..." However Horizon Hobby seems to stand firm behind their stuff and no one bats an eye when they go the extra mile to satisfy their customer. That's awesome that they fixed your trouble with a short trip to the hobby store instead of insisting it was your fault or telling you to send it in and IF it was faulty worksmanship they would fix it, but if not they would bill you...or telling you to call this company because they made that component and then that guy tells you to call this other guy because they're not really responsible because while their name is on the part they actually subbed out that portion of it to this other company and you can't get them on the phone right now but you can leave messages for four days in a row waiting and praying for someone to call you back or at least have the accountability to begin to work with you instead of backpeddling through a miriad of excuses and buck passes while your couple hundred dollar investment sits broken and dormant.

Please don't ask me where I came up with all that...my fingers would blister shortly after I wore the letters off my keyboard in the reply! Anyway, it is REAL comforting to know that the Blade is backed by the BEST support I have seen in this country in freakin' years! Thanks Horizon...keep up the great work and I'll keep sending my confidence, my friends and my dollars in your direction.

God bless Y'all,

Blade problem

I agree, Horizon is great to deal with. I just want to make sure that people don't think I wast putting down the support from larger companies. But the fact that Heli's have always been a complex thing, You had to know a little bit about building, setup, flying and troubleshooting your heli in order to even attempt to fly one. It was not something you just went out and bought all ready to use like a vaccum cleaner, washing machine or something. and turn it in for warranty work. You understood, it was your job to keep it flying safe. Just seemed strange. thats all.
