Do I understand the diagrams correctly that when in normal mode, the throttle stick needs to be all the way down for the motor to be off and that in the "neutral" position, the copter will be at 1/2 power?

Need to know cuz I'm going to try my first hover today. Don't wanna plug the battery in w/ it a 1/2 power un wittingly.

You have it right. The speed control in the 4 in 1 box will not arm unlessthe throttle and throttle trim are all the way down. You'll just get a red light and nothing else.

too bad there no training gears or extra batteries to be found for these things. I got the last on in my area and there are NO accessories to be found sans spare parts.

There is training gear available for the Blade CP. I believe they are around 10 bucks and can be ordered online. Otherwise a set of homebuilt could probably be made as well. Possibly ping pong balls on small dia. dowels, or thin wall plastic tubing.

Ohhh I meant that aren't on back order.

I found an extra battery today - so that was good.
Also, my neighbor has a training gear that will fit, so other than lots of spare parts, I'm ready to go.
