Hi guys! In the Instructions it says to put some adhesive
on the sticky side of the decals for the canopy! do I
really need to do this? what have you guys done?
they won't just go on and stay?
later I will paint it!
Thanks!

If there like all other vinyl stick on's, just wash the canopy in dishwashing detergent (joy) then fill a pan with water and put a couple of drops of detergent in and mix up. Rince the canopy and keep wet. Pull the backer and put the cut decal in the water then put it in place it will slide around for about 10 min or so then its on for keeps. When your are happy let it dry overnight, then go over the decal with a nylon squeegee and you good to go.

I guarantee if you don’t use a good Spray adhesive you decals will start to peal off in a short time.

I use 3M 77 spray adhesive. I’ve been using this stuff for years its stong stuff I still have an old concept 30 sr Canopy that I used this stuff to stick the decals on with. The decals have been on that canopy for over 9 years. Just don’t make a mistake because this stuff will make you mad trying to get it of.

I do not use adhesive,I just clean canopy with rubbing alchohol, heat the decals once they are on with a heat gun or or hair dryer to cure the glue on the decals, this is all I do and works well, its a trick from automotive pinstripping, you heat the pinstripe and they stay on for years, but yes that 3m stuff is real good, but you better have a steady hand

I never thought about using a heat gun. Are you using a hairdryer or a real heat gun 400 + deg. Better be careful with that heat gun or you might Curl the edges

And yes that 3M stuff will really piss you off if you make a mistake with it..
