have switched back to the flat blades and will try moving the balance point forward to see if I can get the same result you did. Does yours both hover and fly forward reliably without moving the trim?

Yes, once I get it trimmed out it flies and hovers well.

By trimmed out I mean a balance between a good hover and no excessive ballooning in forward flight. It takes a combination of the proper C/G (balance) and the trim. My trim tab is very close to the center point.

Let us know if you also balance the heli a bit nose down to cure the ballooning in foward flight.

Hi Guys,

I love mine. Took it out of the box...charged it up and away it went. I figured it would be victory or defeat and it was victory!

Forward flight is fine. I was flying it in 10 MPH winds with out too much trouble.

I do want to start using my 10X but it is on ch 23 so...can I get a ch 23 receiver crystal for it? Also...anyone burning up tail motors with the 3 cell Li-Poly setup? I have heard about it on RCU but mine has been fine so far.

Thanks,

Beave

Hi Beave,

I have about a dozen or so flights on my 3S LiPo without any problems yet.

As to your JR 10X, I don't think it will work. The Blade seems to be using Futaba negative shift. My Futaba 9X seems to work with it, but I don't have it fully trimmed out yet.

slight wobble in main shaft

Hi all! I recently purchased the Blade CP from my local hobby shop and while checking out the setup I noticed a very slight wobble in the main shaft. Will this affect flight? I'm not sure how to measure it to accurately describe it but it does seem minimal. Also the main blades are not tracking exactly on the same plane. One blade is about a blade width below the other. I can bring it down (I too noticed it required an adjustment opposite of what is mentioned in the manual) so it is exactly on plane but strangely this seems to increase a vibration at about 1/2 full throttle. Any thoughts?

Secondly, to achieve the proper CG I had to bring the battery pack way back where the front rubber band barely catches the front edge of the pack. About half the pack hanging off the back end of the battery support, even in its furthest aft position. After reading the above posts for slightly forward CG it seems like this may not be a big deal though.

I put Hornet CF blades on mine and a 3s lipoly setup. Flew great for about 1/2 flight. Burned out the speed controller.

I think a little wobble is normal, it's hard to get them perfect.

Get the tracking as close as you can. If you have a blade balancer take them off and balance them. Sometimes you need a little tape on one or the other.

Finally got my BCP in the air!

My blade wouldn't lift off the ground out of the box, which made me wonder how good it was test flown before it was shipped?? I ended up having to sand the pitch slider to get full pitch and I did the sticky collective repair by reversing the spacer and washers on the blade grips. I ended up giving it a little more positive pitch than in came stock with. Now it flies great! This micro is really smooth! Now I need to get a 3c L-poly pack so I can install the 3d kit. Worlds better than my GWS dragonfly that I've been flying. Thanks for all the good info on the form, made setting it up a breeze. Now if It just had a HH gyro, HMMM.

Tom.

I have recently changed my flybar.... does it matter what angle they are at?......

Just got done flying and I hit my tail before I finished. Now my tail boom is spinning around, from the main body of the helicopter. I don't see a screw or anything to tighten this part up so what keeps it tight? Is it just a snug fitting part that is held upright by the tightness? Or was it initially held by some type of glue? Could I just use a small dab of glue on the end and let it dry to hold it steady now but still be able to get it out if I bend it down the road?

I just had to replace the main frame on mine a couple of days ago. I used JB Weld to glue the boom back into the round hole in the frame. I scuffed up and scratched the boom a little where it fits into the frame to give the JB Weld something to hang on to. It seems to be holding so far.
