What did mods did you have to do to fan shroud in order for it to fit properly? It's looking like some fairly serious cutting of the portion of the shroud that covers the head may be needed but I wanted to hear from you guys first to see what you're doing...

And you won't be able to cover the first 1 or 2 fins on the heatsink.

Shroud

Takes about 10 minutes to trim the fan shroud with a dremel.

No big deal, everyone has to do this with an X Spec or Eagle. The Hirobo fan is very efficient and the engine still gets plenty of cooling.

I have a viper head on my x-spec.

Same shroud as the Avant.

I trimmed the shroud like the above bicture, then used 2mm coroplast bent in a "U" shape to extend the shroud over the head.

It is held on by the shroud standoffs (poked holes in the coroplast with a screwdriver) sandwiched between the frames.

It has about 10 gallons through it without an issue.

Thanks guys. Thanks for the picture Terry. The Avant is going together very nicely. The kit is very well done.
