Hey all, I though about pm someone but thought I might get more info if I just post :P. Plus this is more fun once Garry decides to stick his foot in

What are people using for pitch, collective and cyclic, Rpm etc etc.
I have issues with my engine, but it seems to bog down very easily when I go into FFF, with no cyclic added.

Am Using the Futaba 9ZHP WCII, and was wondering if anyone could share their settings with me. Currently having the A/C roll right when I add pitch in flight, but not on the ground. Could this be due to 40 points of subtrim on that servo?

Cheers

Move the blade grips to the trailing side. The leading side (in my opinion) is too aggressive and grabs too much pitch in FF flight. Put a washer under the ball so that it just barely touches (but not quite) the center bolt. You will get good response and it will take care of the bogging issues.

Been there, done that.

You definantly have some setup issues. Don't have my 9Z at work but you might want to start with a fresh DEFAULT model setup and go from there.

All my trims are ZERO and Endpoints (except throttle) are 100.

The Swash PIT setting in CCPM is 28% for +/-11 deg pitch. Blade grips are just as the manual tells ya to do them.

I'm running leading edge on my blade grips with one washier between the ball and the grip on each side. You will need to do a better setup and use the least amount of subtrim as possible, none is better. All your trims should be at zero and find the sweet spot on you servo horns to get it square and 90. also you will need to play with you radius block to get the interactions out.

goodluck

Or.....you could move the grips to the trailing side, increase your pitch range to 40%, and most of your inteaction problems will go away. If you want, you can add a touch of mix for top stick to get rid of whatever is left of the roll. Forward flight will become much more predictable. The leading edge will give you the most extreme direction change and some awsome collective pumps, but if you note some pitch loading in forward flight, you may wish to change to the trailing edge. The interactions will become less aparent with the grips switched. A lot of maneuvers will become more predictable with this method rather than leading edge.

There are no interactions with the leading edge. I've been running this for the longest time and the machine flies straight and does not bogg.

setup is everything. You may be just running too much pitch/cyclic. Augusto is also running leading edge and he does not have any problems with his machine eighter. I have also noticed v-blades load up really bad too, if thats what your using.

Ray what do you think about good old SABs?
I bet I'll hardly find any other blades, more suitable for autos...
Avant is pretty pitchy, I think it is better to put on smooth blades rather than Mah, what would you say?

The Mah G1 blades are rocking the avant right now. Yes the g2 blades are insanely fast on the avant but still great for aggressive 3d.
