This is the older version from the late 80S, painted in the swedish camoscheme, swedish vertol is an military multipurpose helicopter used mainly for subhunts and carrying troops, also very often involved in rescueops over open sea, it has some years now and being more and more replaced by the Agusta and Puma!

Very nice job.
I am very happy to see someone actually get one of those more than 3 feet off the ground and do forward flight. Keep up the good work.

Nice flying yes

I have one, and when I had it in the air when it was new, a friend of mine was test fly it, and he took stall turns with it and also autorotations
With only one gyro on the elevator!
remember that this heli have 6 blades at appr 80 gr each blade, so there is plenty pover in the blades!
But I have never auto the heli myself

Best reg
Keep up the good work Amir

Hello Jack;
Do you happen to know what size engine in in that heli? I also have a Hirobo Vertol from that era which I am returning to service.

Hirobo Vertol

Hi again Jack;
Thanks for the info! My clutch/startshaft is modified (shuttle plus parts)
for hex start as well.
Do you have any issues with pitch (fore/aft) oscillating as a conventional model would on the tail (wag) ?
Are you albe to get any neg. pitch at bottom stick,Have you had any attempts at autorotation?
Do you use a governor to control engine R.P.M. ? What headspeed do you use?
I have many questions regarding set-up if you're will to help! The manual that came with this ship if difficult to understand.
Thanks in advance Junkpilot

yep, couldn agree more, at least the older one, actually im in the beginning process with this machine also, feels like starting over again!

Amir, that has the other one has helped me over the phone to atleast
do a benchtrim on the heli, I know he did mention that he had manage to get about 2 deg neg pitch by triming the links, like you Junkie I myself
have a bunch of questions about this baby but in this weekend if the weather is ok im gone give it a try with a training undercarriage, when I first started to do the trims I did a misstake with the directions of the swashplates regarding the turns!

when standing behind the heli and turning right the aft plate should tip
downleft and the fore tip downright and otherwise for turning left

As I said, feels like starting ower again with this baby..!

Cheers Jack
