Avant Aurora - EFX - FX > Freya to Avant query

Hi guys,

I want to build an avant, but am looking at how best to do this. It seems that if I get an X-Spec to start, many of the expensive bits of that kit are not used, i.e. carbon side frames, engine mount etc. I am considering getting a standard Freya and replacing the few non X-Spec parts i.e. metal centre hub etc. for the avant in any case. Which X-Spec parts remain on the avant compared with a standard freya avant? Comments and suggestions welcomed.

Cheers

i'm wondering this too about the conversion from a std. freya. i have a crashed one, that instead of putting back into getting it back to stock, i can make an Avant out of it, how much of the original kit is used? i didnt see anything on the CX site that specifically said.

I kind of like using the standard Freya as it is. The plastic parts are lighter also. You will need to get the X-Spec fan shroud and it's little mounting bracket.

Take a look at the building manual so you can see what parts are used they are highlited in blue.

I did the Std Freya to the Avant convertion and the only extras you need are what Augusto said.
I do have the metal head yoke but it was on my Freya for 2 years anyway.
Any upgrades that most use on the std freya ABOVE the swash are good to have.
