When will the CCPM version of the Sceadu be available?
Will there be a price difference?
Would you guys recommend this heli as a good one to start practicing 3D?

Thanks

The CCPM will be an upgrade for the Sceadu that I don't think would be something worth getting...... There won't be a CCPM Sceadu released as far as I know

ccpm

Thanks guys.

One other question, When will the Sceadu .50's with the DTDS thingy and without blades be available? I don't want to buy one that has the blades in the kit.

Thanks

Woodscra,

The CCPM upgrade is the same layout as the Shuttle SXX. It isn't all that.

As for the Hirobo offer, it starts after Jan 1. If you buy your kit now you get it with the 570 main blades and you can get the upgrade parts from Altech/MRC for $46 after the first.

Pro 2,
CCPM is OK, it's not all that and I can't tell the difference. As for the Tube drive. Get it if you are doing acrobatic autos with your Sceadu. If you are not doing the above don't waste the money. Now if you have the money to waste then by all means spend to your hearts content.

Belt vs tube

The belt drive has more drag than a tube drive. Your blades loose the stored energy due to the drag of the belt drive system. I'd say if you are going into the inverted auto's that you might benifit from the tube drive. Need to keep them blades turning!

Keep a couple extra drives on hand for when you dork one those inverted auto's

Ishii Mokei has Sceadu 30 & 50 SWM heli kits. SWM = Swash Mode Mixing (this right?) = CCPM.

confused...

Sorry but I am still a bit confused, will the kits After Jan. 1 already contain the bearing and be without blades?
Or is it that no matter when I buy the Sceadu, the blades will always come with it?

Sorry again for my confusion.

You can do aerobatic autos all day long with a belt driven tail. The Tube drive will be A LITTLE more effecient, but not that much. I would venture to say that it would be equivalent to Autoing 30 with 105 Gram blades vs. with 115 gram blades.

Rest assured --- I do inverted pushover autos all day long with the BELT Driven Sceadu and Freya

woodscra,

The Sceadu 50 kits after January 1st will NOT have the blades in them and they will be $5 more than now. So if you get one now, it's like getting a set of 570mm glass blades for $40. Also chances are there will be some Sceadu 50s left with blades at the stores after Jan 1st and you'd have to call Altech to get the upgrade on those.

I'm definetely not going to spend $70 on CCPM mixing for the Sceadu I like the way my standard mixing works. And I think I'll pass on the $100 tube drive as well, I think the belt will work for me for a long long time.
