| I have flown them both, not much, but right now I think the Trex is the better choice. The X-400 has some promise, but it is too early to tell. It was a lot slower on the controls than the TRex, but it could have been the set-up. The guy who had them had set them both up. The reason I switched to the TRex was the price of parts and availability. Unless you never crash, part replacement is a concern and metal adds weight. The trex needs a few minor improvements, but they are cheap and parts are available everywhere. I don't know about price and availability of the X-400's. It is kind of like buying a computer, something new and better will always be coming but you can't sit around waiting for the best one to be decided. I started with the Hornet, then the Hornet 2, then the zoom, and now the trex. I think the trex is able to give you everything you need at a fair price right now. By the end of the year I'm sure there will be another great helicopter...maybe you should wait for that one. If you want to fly now, get the trex, you will not be disappointed.
