Hi Gents, I'm still waiting for my Lama motor! I'm told it's on its way by SNAIL MAIL!
So in the meantime here are some pics of my Bell 47 on a mission, and lost somewhere in the English countryside........
Thanks Ian748 for the great pics!
All The Best.

Hey Bloke,

would you mind posting a list of what parts you used and what was modified. I am planning on buying the 47 and making it electric is of interest to me.

Regards

Hi Doug C

The conversion list is as follows
1. Hacker C50 16XL
1. Joker pinion 20 tooth gear
1. Jeti 75Amp Opto plus speed controller 8-24NC/3-8LiXX
1. UBEC or SBEC receiver power supply
x2. Li-Pos 3S-4P
OR x1.Duralitie/Flightpower #9S637500
7500 mah 6s3p - 18 cell - 22.2V
And Finally but most importantly a Futaba noise filter P-AB0104 with ferrite ring. This little piece of kit is absolutley vital to stop radio glitching or worse.
Good luck!
Ps. This helicopter seems more scalelike with the heavier 2 pack set up.

Hi Doug C, sorry not been on here for a while. The mount I used is the standard Century mount and an aircraft engine mount. I then used these to PINCH the motor between them and the thick rubber band (inner tube) creates the necessary friction to hold the motor there. The seems like a really bazaar way to mount the motor, but I did it like the because it was very simple. The motor can't twist or move and it's worked for 30 hours flight time with no problems!
