can anyone give the visible differences in the hawks, I know the SE is visibly differnet but what is the difference between the III and the IV?

brain is fartingMy brain is farting but i can tell you that one of the noticeable differences is that the 3 has a single boom support while the 4 has the dual boom supports...if my brain decides to work i will post more

Hi Nick,
The only differences of any consequences were:
1 - the IV has a 10mm mainshaft system instead of the 8mm unit in the III. This means the same head block has a 10mm insert, the same washout hub has a 10mm hole, and ditto for the center of the same swashplate.
2 - the III had a single tail boom support strut arrangement and the IV has a double support strut arrangement rendering the boo more rigid. An inexpensive conversion for the III.
3 - the IV has two extra bearings instead of bushings in the collective system...not critical at all.
