JR Heli Vibe - Airskipper - Sylphide - Venture > Venture setup for 10x

I searched first but did not find what I was looking for.

Here goes........

I just got a Venture to knock around with. There was no manual included. I went on line and downloaded the manual after discovering a pitch problem. It had 20 plus degrees of positive pitch and 0 deg of negative pitch. I checked all the linkages and found them to be correct. So I went to my programing, it was ok. I got it working with +10(13 auto) and -10 electronicly but would like to get it right mechanicaly if I have something wrong. It might be something I'm missing, I don't know. Anybody with a 10x please give me your electronic setup. All servo horns were centered at half stick and no trim and no pitch curve. I would also like to know if you had adjust any links.

Thanks

Scott

Check your blade grip.....

Hi my name is Tony, I'm new but I think I read some where that there two pivot points on the blade grips of the new Venture.....If you check you may find a 'lead' setup for 3D and a 'trail' setup for beginners.

Just a thought, I thought I'd try............

Scott,

I have been flying the Venture (JR460 gyro and OS 32SXH) on a 10x for the last week . In short to answer your question, yes I had to adjust the links, I had about twenty degrees of travel (15 to -5). with the pitch on code 65 set to about 55 percent. With everything centered, the washout and mixing arms were all level, I merely adjusted the short links on the head to get zero degrees at midstick and pitch travel of -10 to + 10. Of course make sure you reset you ptich curves to a straight line and zero out any hover pitch.

After the first flights, I realized that it needed some more pitch so I increased the code 65 pitch to 60 and that seems to load the engine better. The rest of my code 65 values are aound 68-70 percent based on the head and preventing any binding. I am still breaking in the engine and getting used to the heli, but so far I am impressed with its stability and smooth flight.

Hope this helps

Erik
