| I will say this about the new Gyro Bee, it goes together very quick. The original used tristock for strength on the mast base where the new ARF does not. that is a MAJOR weak spot if you crash.
The rotors.....on the origninal, the 3/32" dia. steel rod that runs the length of the leading edge provides a tremendous amount of strength. TheARF version has the steel rod.....but only runs three quarters of the length of the leading edge. What this means is....where there is no rod....that is weak spot! I broke a rotor on a hard landing! Do you think they did this for a reason? Hmmmmm......
Good points....it flies awesome and it is very lite. If I could make a sugestion.....on the control rods for the rotor plate contol, use the servo savers from Du Bro. They work out real nice and take up a lot of shock in case you tip over. It will save you the trouble of rebuilding your servo. I have had to do that a couple time myself! |
