JR Heli Vibe - Airskipper - Sylphide - Venture > JR Ergo 30 CCPM body question??

I got my new Ergo 30 CCPM all put together now and the body with canopy all trimmed out also, according to instructions but the body just doesn't fit properly. I actually can't get the front body mount standoffs to go into their holes on the body and the ccpm swashplate hit the top of the body. Everything looks right according to the picture in the manual. Wonder if they sent me the wrong body.

Anyone have a similiar experience with an Ergo 30 CCPM body not fitting right? If so I would appreciate to know how you fixed it . Pictures would be a great help also.

i had the same problem. My corrections:

1. trim the top of the canopy so there is clearance such that the pushrods and/or swashplate do not touch. I was surprized how much material i removed.
2. i too thought the canopy was the wrong one. I contacted Horizon and they stated that it is a very tight fit. I trimmed material on the bottom so the canopy would not be restricted by the frame. This helps slightly - it's still a tight fit. I lubricated the canopy posts with Tri-flow which helps.

Sorry no pictures. Let me know how things work out.
Once you finally get the canopy on, check your fore/aft balance. Mine is tail heavy - i ordered a larger C-cell pack from SR batteries to add some weight to the nose. I'm using the JR G-410T gyro which adds almost no weight to the tail. I'll know by this weekend if the larger battery pack helped.

Thanks Richard... I will trim some more of the top and bottom. Sounds like mine his hitting in the same places as your did. I also took a real close look at the photo on the front of the kit box last night and it does look like they trimmed quite abit off the top of the canopy to make things fit. You can just barely see the swashplate sticking above.

I also never thought of the fore/aft balance. The larger battery pack
sounds like a good idea. Let me know how it works out.
