| i had the same problem. My corrections:
1. trim the top of the canopy so there is clearance such that the pushrods and/or swashplate do not touch. I was surprized how much material i removed.
2. i too thought the canopy was the wrong one. I contacted Horizon and they stated that it is a very tight fit. I trimmed material on the bottom so the canopy would not be restricted by the frame. This helps slightly - it's still a tight fit. I lubricated the canopy posts with Tri-flow which helps.

Once you finally get the canopy on, check your fore/aft balance. Mine is tail heavy - i ordered a larger C-cell pack from SR batteries to add some weight to the nose. I'm using the JR G-410T gyro which adds almost no weight to the tail. I'll know by this weekend if the larger battery pack helped. |
