My wife took a couple of pics with my XRB and our cat Ki Ki. She really enjoys watching it fly around the house and thinks it's her new toy,, ok maybe I'll share.
The lights are courtsey of the Photon 3 finger lights. Striped out of the case they only weigh 4 grams a piece and the bling affect for me is well worth 8 grams. Using the front as a steady white search light and the red as a flahing red anti collision light. If you looking for easy bling this is the way to go.

Great Pics!

My cat isnt nearly as interested as Ki Ki appears to be, except when i fly right over her and the wash from the rotors hits her..then she usually takes off running. It was alot more interesting when I had my tethered XRB and she would run away & sometimes get caught in the tether.. made for some interesting situations!

Greetings,

That is cool that your cat will watch the heli fly. Both of our cats will run for the hills when I even take the heli off the shelf.

Hey Airwolf, yeah she actually follows it all over the house. If there is any thing she can climb on to get the advantage she's there, trying to look down on it. A couple of times I got too close and you could see the rotorwash blowing on her and she just stayed there amazed by it. It's funny she can be asleep anywhere in the house and as soon as she hears it spooling up she's there yawing waiting for takeoff. She's a pretty Kool Kitty.

Hey Johnny, just about anywhere, I think maybe even wal'mart. I got mine off ebay usually around 15 bucks. You can use a photon 2 or any finger light but the advantage with a photon 3 is it has 7 programable modes already stored in. I usually choose the slow flash and that is by far the easiest and coolest mode to do.

The top stock anti collision light comes out easy enough just be very carefull and slowly bore out the hole with a drill bit. I did mine by hand so as not to have the canopy twist and split apart. Go up one size at a time unitl you are about 1 size smaller than the bulb, it will then fit in snugly with nothing needed to support it.

I took a photo of how it looks with and without body. With body it weighs 7 grams so taking it out will help shed 3 grams. Hope this helps, they are so good I made some inserts into my foam planes like the F-27 stryker and fly late in the evening. Talk about BLING!

How about the power source? You just hook it up to the Li-Po battery? It woun't burn out?

Thanks.

The photon 3's or any finger light use a watch battery as a powersource. Thats what makes them so convient to use on the heli no wires to string up and no drain off your main battery. They usually use 1 CR2032 or 2, 2016 stacked to make 6 volts.
Take a look at the last picture I posted, the big round thing on the bottom is the battery. Give one a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
