| I got an Ion-x with hacker motor/controller for Xmas (I must have been a good boy eh!) and am just starting to put it together. I would like to postpone going to Lipo's for a little while longer until this technology improves a bit more.
I fly my Logo 16 (basically upgraded to a Logo 20) on 20-2600 Nimhs and get 8-9 minutes flight time (sport flying with light acros and 1650-1700 rpm headspeed). I've just ordered a set of 20-GP3700's to try out. These should get my flight times up to well over 10 minutes. These cells weigh about 2g each more than the GP3300 and the new GP3700's are supposed to have about the same/or more grunt.
My questions to you all are, for optimum sport flying performance and flight times (say ~1700 rpm):
-How many cells should I use (28, 30,or 32 cells)?
-What are the best, most efficient rotor blades, and
-At what gearing should I use, believe I have a 55t main in my kit
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
