| Well this engine removal procedure seems almost as fun as the GPH. One of the reasons I like the Raptor so much is that with just removing the four engine mount bolts you can remove the whole thing out the bottom. If you slot the frame at the bolt behind the muffler you can even let the muffler on and remove the whole lot out the bottom, remove three bolts, loosen the fourth and pop the throttle linkage and Bingo, Bango, Bongo, it's all out.
It never fails that you are pressed for time when you have to work on your heli. I just think that it is so much easier with the raptor. Yes, I know you're gonna say something about all the clutches breaking, but when assembled correctly I have experienced only one clutch failure in the last two years. The raptors that I help setup haven't broken one either but they don't have as much time on them as mine.
Don't get me wrong, I like the Hawk/raven/falcon helis, they are real quality machines now and they fly like it. Everyone has issues on a heli that are important to them, easy engine removal just happens to be one of mine.
