I got one of those numpties when I advertised...

It's some scammer trying to con you into giving away your expensive model with some complicated payment system when leaves you with no payment!!

They have some kind of automatic system scanning the for sale section I reckon!

the insurance company have made an interim payment now, so all my gear has been replaced, thankfully.

While I sympathise with your loss this forum seems to becoming the "broken hearts or foolish people brigade".
How many people would complain to a forum about a lawnmower being stolen from their shed?
After all I'm assuming that you had adequate household insurance to cover it?
I know its not the point as some toe rag stole it - Unfortunately its now become the norm in the UK. I hope your mates can track it down for you, more than likely they've tried to fly it and its in a black plastic bag...

these "people" didn't burgle my shed,
they broke my back door lock and came into MY house, whilst we were asleep upstairs, my children still don't sleep properly and my youngest STILL doesn't like to be in a room alone...............

On your point about insurance.... I would seriously check yours out, see my post on insurance !!!

Posts are put on a "community forum" to try to retrieve goods and inform people of "stolen" goods possibly being on the market....do you really think I want to pay increased insurance premiums ??

Perhaps you should wind the Brassneck in a bit

I dont think it's a case of seeking attention or sympathy, I think it's more to do with that fact that this is a small community of people and it's not difficult to keep an eye out for a model which has been stolen.

coops' model was a bright orange 3DNT and you dont see many of those around. Assuming that the theives are a bit thick and they try to sell it on to a club, it would be pretty easy to spot! Also considering everyone has their own individual touch for radio layout.

I dont think putting out a message saying 'keep your eyes open lads' is a crime?
