I was looking for an indoor helicopter to fly and the XRB looks pretty cool. My question which version would you reccomend the teathered or the unteathered model.

And also how rugged is the little bird? Oh yes and where would you get it from. Thanks in advance for any and all info.

Hi
Personaly i'd go for the un-teathered version so when your good with it you not limited to a space you can fly over chairs or up and down stairs.
They seem to withstand minor bumps ok due to the blades disintergrating on impact and saving more expensive parts.
you'll have fun with either though.

Untethered for sure

I 2nd Jason's reply, I'd definitely shell out a little more for the untethered version, believe me, you won't regret it! =)

Surely untethered lama. It is actually a RC helicopter. You can play outdoor with over 100 feet away and 50 feet height

yeah untethered is better, but then consider too that the tethered motors are 12$ea, and the wireless ones are 43$ each! They dont last a whole long time either cause over heating. Even if you do follow the cool down procedures.

my wifes cooking is so bad, the flies are sewing the holes in the screen door

So what's the average life span for the motors? And which one goes out first?

Not sure of lifespan since I've only put a few flights on mine but I'd imagine most likely the rear motor would go out first since it doesn't get as much airflow as the one in the front (behind the canopy).
