I an building a JR sylphide now and I can tell all that this is one of the nicest heli I have ever put my hands on
Its very easy to see that the old Kalt people work with JR now

I'm not such a great fan of CCPM, but with a design like this, who's complaining?

What engine, servos, radio, gyro are you using with yours?

So we get it from same place! Where in the world are you?

When I was reading tour mail I had to smile due to the same thing with me! I do not like the CCpm and I do not like the tail drive by belt, but who is complaining when you see this!
Its very fun to put together and its beutiful!
There is rwo things I did not like, and that is the links and the canopy
The links I will change with Rocket city and the Canopy I will paint!

Radio : PCM 10 X
Receiver: JR 1000
Engine : OS 91 SX (Hyper Head will be monted when I get it)
Muffler : Hatori 988
Servos : JR 8300 x3
Gyro : JR 6000 W/8000 Servo
Guvernor Gv 1 W/ JR 2700 Servo
Fuel : Cool Power 12,5%
Blades I do not know yet. Will try some TG competition first and then I
will convert a pair of Hirobo 68 Carbon blades!

Today I have tested the Beast only in hover
Used one gallon and its wonderfull! very quiet and no vibs
Tried diff rpm and engine worked fine

Sorry about not getting back quick enough.

I have a few issues with assembly so far, some of the threads were not done properly, so I had to rethread them, this was on the gear module, and was not major.

Have spent about 9 hours so far on assembly.

This heli is almost like space age technology, it makes all other stack frame design look prehistoric, a new epoch is clearly upon us!

I never enjoyed assembling a heli as much as this. This makes all my other helis look bad.

As for belt tail, that I don't mind. JR are not stupid. They tried the pipe drive on the normal Superios and had problems, so they switched to belt and the problems went away!

What I would like to ask is what hex started shaft are you using, I don't want to damage my elevator lever. This is one of the issues with the design that I have.

My Sylphide will probably not be airbourne for at least 2 months.

Servos : don't know yet, will either be NES 8300 x 3 or DS8301 x 3. You don't get much flight time with NES 8300
Gyro : Futaba GY601 with 9251 servo
don't know if I should use Guvernor, but probably will
Fuel : Cool Power 15% or maybe 30% since YS reccommends it
Blades also I do not know yet. Will try SAB and TG competition, can't see you putting Hirobo blades because it's 5mm bolt hole!!

I had to convert the Tg blades for it so I will also convert the hirobo just for the fun to see
I heard some rumors about some new blades comming for it
I see that you also have a Freya exwc! I just completing building one and has 1,5 gallon with her now!
But why 2 months? the Heli will rust in the time!!

The Vertol I planned to put a 50 engine in and try to get in the sky this summer! Need some parts to convert
My baby now is the Sylphide
And the CCPm works fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My advise to you, do not follow the manual on the engine! make the block together withe the engine and stuff as you see on the picture before you put the sideplates on it
More easy to get accurate! The starter I use a old from K&S. That works fine!
on my first day i hover 1 gallon, appr 6 tanks on one charge 2400ma

Firstly, I found the engine assembly bit first the hard way, also the feul tank had to be out into place before the frames as well!!

Freya EX WC still in box, will not assemble it for another 3 months. I can't even hover nose in yet so I have not "earnt" the right to fly it or the Sylphide yet. Too busy praticing on Voyager 50 with all K&S upgrades fitted.

Just a few more questions:

How is the Sylphide in the hover? Superios are notoriously good at hovering monoevures. Is this also true of the Sylphide, and is acrobatic performance better as well, since they share similar head?

How is the heli tracking?

What levels of vibration are you getting? I would like to know since JR claim that this is the strongest helicopter on the planet - and I would not disagree with that!!!

6 flights with NES 8300 and 2400 mah pack!!!? Are you joking? How long are these flights each? I'd be lucky enough to get 40 minutes out of this combination!!

And lastly, would you agree that the design beats all others to shame? Because that I do feel strongly about!!!!
