How funny John! Great minds think alike right?

I am pulling for the CC 80 over the Kontronik's Jazz controller ONLY because I have the Pheonix Link. Am I crazy or what!

Nope. Century showed it at MayDay, and it did look prety cool. Smaller than I thought it would be, but it looked good. They said the kits would be out prety soon. I think they said then end of June. But I might be wrong about that, as I have slept since then.

I was hoping it would be about the size of a 30-helli, like the Hawk. I own an Icarus Eco8 now. Is it about that size?

Thanks

It is a 30-size'ish heli. It is slated to use 530-550 mm blades. I plan on using 550 mm SAB blades.

Outrunner

Does anyone know if an outrunner would work in this setup with a hv setup?

Spy photo from a cul-de-sac in northern California. Been sworn to secrecy, so I can't tell you who or exactly where, but the photo is less than one month old. Flight testing to verify motor/ battery combinations to be recommended.

It seems smaller than logo10.

> It seems smaller than logo10.

The chassis does seem a little more compact than the Logo 10 but the blade size is 50 mm longler (per blade) than for a Logo 10. To put 550 mm blades on a Logo 10, you have to get the "stretch kit."

Costs for parts

How about part cost? Are they going to be significantly cheaper than those of logo 10/14?

If Century sticks to the way the last couple of machines have gone, I am sure the parts cost will be very reasonable. I doubt they will be anywhere near what the Logo parts are. But that is purely a guess based on the parts cost of say the Predator as opposed to say the Fury or Vigor.

I've got a pack I'm putting together right now for another project.. a 4S4P 5000Mah pack. It is good for 50 amps sustained (800 watts), 70 burst.
Maybe I'll go with a heavier cell and shoot for 60+ amps sustained?
I cant imagine my CC80 working at 60 amps without a fan though.
Not a 3Der myself, so a crazy 2Kw setup is not in the cards.
