For christmas i got a tethered XRB, bought some carbon fiber blades
and have been gettin some great practice. I fly a hummingbird when weather permits. The landing gear is so weak i've broken 2 and i'm not wasting my money on anymore. I'm going to make somthing unbreakable. Any input or pics would be appreciated thanx-Kevin

How about this

I recieved mine used and broken.I cut off the skids and cut off the struts near the base. Bent some spring steel to fit as shown. The only thing icould have done better was to leave more upright on the skids to glue to. It holds up real well to abuse. DOC

I stepped on mine and one side broke so I used a piece of 1mm round carbon. Cut it to length and wrapped thread around it to hold it on. Then I used CA to keep it in place. Hasn't broken again even landing really hard a few times.

The CA is black because I used the flexible tire CA.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick
